Since 1990, I have been privileged to have been asked to play the organ for funerals across Liverpool and beyond, including the funeral of Cilla Black in 2015, which was broadcast live. I play a range of instruments on a day-to-day basis, from pipe organs of more than a century old to modern electric pianos, all of which have their own merits serving the respective buildings that they are in. Although the majority of my work is within the diocese and archdiocese of Liverpool, it has also taken me into other denominations including Methodist, Free Church, Quaker and representative churches of other countries which are found in Liverpool, alongside services which are held directly at crematoria.
I enjoy an active working relationship with many clergy, church secretaries and vergers and work regularly with a number of funeral directors.
If you are reading this, and we have worked together in the past, I hope you have found me to be reliable and my playing has been of the highest standards. If I haven't been able to come to you personally, I hope that you have been happy with the organist that I have found to play for you as my deputy. I am grateful for our continued relationship, as it is only through this that I am able to continue to be available for you both now and in the future.
