Orders of Service

Let me help you create a unique, printed order of service for the funeral of your loved one.

With over 28 years experience as an organist,
I have a valuable insight as to what is expected in the content of a service card,
and I will work with you to create exactly what you need to aid the smooth running of your loved one's funeral.

With the addition of pictures, poems and tributes, the funeral order of service becomes a personal keepsake
which will act as a memorial of your loved one in years to come.

Each of our loved ones are special to us, and it is a privilege to work with each individual family.
Among the many clients that I have provided service booklets for, are the families of Everton FC footballer, Andy King,
and Singer and Entertainer Cilla Black.

When faced with the question "What hymns would you like to sing in the funeral service,"
the mind will more often than not go completely blank.
I have listed below some of the more popular hymns that are used, that might stimulate your thought process.
Funeral Hymn Suggestions:
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
All that I am, all that I do,
All things bright and beautiful,
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
And did those feet in ancient time.
Angel voices ever singing
As I kneel before you,
Be still, and know I am with you,
Be still for the presence of the Lord
Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart,
Bind us together, Lord,
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine,
Bring flowers of the rarest,
Come down, O love divine,
Dear Lord and Father of mankind,
Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you,
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Faith of our fathers, living still
Give me joy in my heart, keep me praising.
Going home, moving on, through God's open door;
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
Guide me, O thou great Redeemer,
Hail, glorious St. Patrick, dear saint of our isle,
Hail Queen of Heav’n, the ocean star!
He’s got the whole world in his hand,
Immaculate Mary! Our hearts are on fire,
In bread we bring you, Lord, our bodies’ labour.
I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry,
I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
I watch the sunrise lighting the sky,
Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy
Lord, Jesus Christ, you have come to us,
Love divine, all loves excelling,
Make me a channel of your peace,
May the choirs of angels come to greet you,
Morning has broken like the first morning,
Nearer my God to thee, nearer to thee!
O bread of heaven beneath this veil
O Jesus, I have promised
O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross
O perfect love, all human thought transcending,
Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven,
Soul of my Saviour, sanctify thy breast;
Sweet heart of Jesus, fount of love and mercy,
Sweet Sacrament divine,
The Church’s one foundation
The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended,
The King of love my shepherd is,
The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want;
The Spirit lives to set us free,
This is my body, broken for you
To God be the glory, great things He has done
What a friend we have in Jesus
Walk with me, oh my Lord,
When I survey the wondrous cross
